MVAEA is the oldest
regional adult education association in the United States. It is an
outstanding professional development association for anyone affiliated with
lifelong learning or adult and continuing education.
Through
MVAEA
you have the distinct opportunity to:
 share
professional concerns
broaden
awareness of available resources and program initiatives
advance
lifelong learning as fundamental for personal and social development
receive
a newsletter - Happenings in the Valley
be
included in the membership directory published biannually
attend
the annual conference of
outstanding workshops, discussions, demonstrations and sessions

eligible to apply for the MVAEA
Development Fund which
provides an annual grant on a competitive basis to any MVAEA indiviual member
or collective state organization
The
following membership categories are available:
Individual membership ($35)
For
adult education and/or lifelong learning professionals
Student membership ($15)
For
any student currently enrolled in a higher education program. Student
membership does not include voting privileges.
Retiree membership ($15)
For
individuals who have worked in diverse salaried and volunteer settings as
members of MVAEA and are now retired. This membership requires Board
approval.
Institutional membership ($120)
For
any organization engaged in or interested in any phase of adult education.
Up to four persons may be included as part of this membership, but only
one vote is allowed per institution. Each participant receives all
publications.
Life membership ($300)
For
professionals working with adult learners or for those interested in any
phase of adult learning. Includes voting privileges and all other
benefits.
