is part of your MVAEA membership.
Happenings
in the Valley-A vital
newsletter published regularly throughout the year
that provides an exchange of ideas and
opinions, a summary of regional and national
issues affecting the field, and updates on
MVAEA members and state associations.
Network Directory
A membership directory published annually that includes
the special areas of expertise MVAEA members possess.
You can contact other members to share information,
brainstorm ideas, and learn more about individual areas
of interest.
Annual
Conference
A two to three-day program of outstanding workshops,
discussions, demonstrations, and sessions led by national
and regional experts in the field. MVAEA
conferences are hosted by each of the states every seven
years. 2004 Iowa (Sioux City); 2005 Kansas.
MVAEA Development
Fund
A fund which provides an annual grant on a competitive
basis to any MVAEA individual member or collective state
organization with an innovative idea, research project,
or special program that will advance the field of adult
education and/or lifelong learning.
Leadership
Academy
An
annual program focusing on leadership training and other
issues that affect all lifelong learning professionals
and their organizations. The Leadership Academy
provides valuable leadership skills and priceless
opportunities to network with other MVAEA members from
the seven-state region.
